Stop contamination before it enters your cleanroom.
Reusable contamination-control matting for critical entry points, designed to capture foot- and wheel-borne particles and reduce recurring peel-off mat waste.
Invisible contamination. Visible consequences.
Most contamination is invisible until it shows up somewhere expensive: a failed audit, a rejected batch, a mat you're replacing again. Up to 80% of contamination entering controlled environments arrives at floor level, mostly on foot traffic and wheels. Source: Springer, "Contamination control in cleanrooms"
Failed audits
Entry points are one of the first things an auditor checks. Particulate found at the door puts the rest of the report under scrutiny.
Batch rejection and production loss
In pharmaceutical, semiconductor and F&B production, contamination at the entry point becomes contamination in the batch. One rejected run costs more than years of matting.
Recurring peel-off mat cost and waste
Peel-off mats lose grip fast and need constant sheet replacement. The cost doesn't stop after installation. It repeats every week.
How CC Matting captures contamination.
Step on.
The high-tack polymer surface picks up particles from footwear and wheels with every pass.
Particles held.
The tacky surface retains particles ranging from over 100 microns down to the nanometre range, so they don't transfer onward into the controlled area.
Clean and restore.
Mop and squeegee-dry the surface to remove captured contamination and restore full tack. No peeling, no sheets to replace.
Retains up to 99.9% of foot- and wheel-borne particles (per CC Matting information; actual performance depends on location, traffic and cleaning regime). The tack layer keeps working through repeated cleaning cycles across the mat's 4 to 5 year lifespan.

CC Matting vs. peel-off sticky mats.
| CC Matting | Peel-off sticky mats | |
|---|---|---|
| Installation | Permanent or semi-permanent, fitted to your entry point | Disposable layered sheets |
| Particle retention | High-tack polymer surface, retains up to 99.9% of foot- and wheel-borne particles | Lower tack, mainly larger particles; drops as each layer loads |
| Lifespan | About 4 to 5 years | Days to weeks per sheet layer |
| Maintenance | Mop and squeegee-dry in place | Peel and dispose of layers manually, on a constant cycle |
| Waste | Mat is fully recyclable at end of life; no disposable layers | Continuous sheet waste to dispose of |
| Underfoot safety | Stays flat under foot and trolley traffic; independently tested for slip resistance and rated low risk, wet or dry | Used layers can lift at the edges; a trip hazard, and unsuited to wheeled carts |
| Sizing | Site-measured and custom-fitted | Fixed standard sizes |
| Documentation | Annual Particle Collection Efficiency Test (PCET) and tackiness test, with a full report | No standard testing or reporting regime |
Peel-off mats still have a place for short-term, low-risk zones. Where an audit is on the line, CC Matting is built for the entry points that matter.

Built for the entry points where contamination costs the most.
Pharmaceutical manufacturing
Cleanroom entrances, gowning areas and production zones where GMP compliance starts at the door.
Semiconductor & electronics
Fabrication, receiving and gowning transition zones, where particle control protects yield.
Cleanrooms & laboratories
Airlocks and transition zones between corridor and controlled space.
Healthcare
Ward entrances and clinical transition points in hospitals and medical centres.
Food & beverage
Production entrances and central kitchens, where cross-contamination control matters at every shift change.

Full installation walkthrough: fitting CC Matting at a facility entry point, start to finish
Case study: Gardenia.
Challenge. Gardenia, a leading Malaysian bakery manufacturer, was picking up dust and debris at its production entrances from foot traffic and the movement of trolleys and carts. Traditional cleaning wasn't fully clearing contaminants at the entry to their clean zones.
Solution. SGH installed custom-fitted CC Matting at key entry points to the production areas, designed to capture dust, dirt and other particles from shoes and wheels before they reach sensitive zones.
Ongoing testing. SGH runs an annual Particle Collection Efficiency Test (PCET) and tackiness test on the installation, with a full report after each round, so Gardenia has documentation on file year to year.
What CC Matting customers say, internationally.
CC Matting is installed and supported worldwide through its principal network. The reviews below are of CC Matting products and service internationally, not of SGH's own Malaysian installations.
"I found CC Matting to be very professional and well informed about their products. They provided ample training for my staff and check in periodically... Very dependable company and would have no problem in recommending them."
Richard Keohane, Facilities Engineer, Stryker
"Great service, always responds to mails and phone calls, very clean install, would not hesitate to recommend service to any other pharma site."
Scott Farmer, Assistant Facilities Manager, CBRE
"I have found CC Matting to be excellent to deal with. Extremely professional and their advice is honest, not just chasing sales. They have been flexible to meet production and audit schedules when required."
O'Reilly, Value Stream Leader, GEHC

Your price is higher than a peel-off mat. Why should we switch?
How effective is it at capturing particles from footwear and wheels?
How is CC Matting cleaned and maintained?
Can the installation be done without disrupting our operations?
Do you have documentation to back this up?
Do you provide support outside Kuala Lumpur?
Can you custom-fit CC Matting to our entry points?

Request a free site assessment.
A trained SGH consultant visits, measures your entry points and recommends a matting plan. No obligation.
We aim to respond within one working day. Site assessments are normally arranged within five working days, subject to location, access and project requirements.
